Where this usually starts

Most requests for HSE consulting begin with one of two situations. Either the business has grown past the point where informal safety management works — more sites, more contractors, more scrutiny from clients or insurers — and there's no one internally with the mandate or time to build it properly. Or an existing set-up has grown inconsistently: different plants doing things differently, documentation that doesn't match practice, and no one confident enough to say what "good" actually looks like for that specific business.

Either way, the starting point is the same: understanding where things actually stand today, not where the org chart says they should stand. That's why advisory work always begins with direct conversation and site observation, not a questionnaire sent by email.

What follows from there depends on what the maturity assessment actually finds. Some clients need a full strategy and governance rebuild; others just need a second opinion on a specific decision — whether to pursue ISO 45001 certification now or in a year, how to structure HSE reporting across five sites that currently report differently, or what an incoming EHS Director should prioritise in their first 90 days. We scope for the actual question, not a standard advisory package.

What's included

Three connected areas of advisory support

These are usually engaged together, but each can stand alone if that's what you need right now.

01

Occupational Health & Safety Advisory

Occupational Health & Safety Advisory is the entry point for organisations that need an experienced, independent view on how safety is being managed — whether that means setting direction for a business that has never had structured HSE support, or reviewing an existing set-up that has grown without a clear plan behind it.

  • Organisational HSE maturity assessment
  • HSE strategy and roadmap development
  • Structure, roles and responsibility design (who owns what, and how)
  • Regulatory landscape mapping for your sector and locations

Compliance Advisory

Compliance Advisory helps organisations understand which HSE regulations actually apply to their operations, and what compliance looks like in practice — distinct from a generic legal summary, and grounded in how the requirement plays out on your specific sites.

  • Applicable HSE regulation mapping by sector, location and facility type
  • Compliance gap assessment against identified requirements
  • Licence and statutory approval tracking support
  • Regulatory change monitoring relevant to your operations
Full scope & methodology →

HSE Management Systems

HSE Management Systems covers the design, implementation and ongoing maintenance of a structured system for managing occupational health and safety — including advisory support for organisations working towards ISO 45001 alignment or certification.

  • HSE management system design and structure
  • ISO 45001 gap assessment and implementation advisory
  • Policy, procedure and manual development within a coherent system
  • Legal and other requirements register development

Regulatory landscape

The frameworks this work is measured against

Regulatory landscape — for reference, not legal advice
Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020

Came into force 21 November 2025, consolidating 13 earlier central labour laws (including the Factories Act, 1948, the BOCW Act, 1996, and the Contract Labour Act, 1970) into a single framework. Central Rules were notified in May 2026; state-level rules are being adopted progressively. During this transition, provisions of the earlier laws may continue to apply where the new Code or rules are not yet fully notified for a given state or sector.

ISO 45001:2018

The international standard for occupational health and safety management systems, used as a voluntary benchmark and certification framework by organisations in India and globally.

This is a general reference summary, not legal advice, and does not cover every requirement that may apply to your establishment. Indian labour law is in active transition as the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020 is rolled out state by state — confirm current applicability with your legal counsel or the relevant authority before relying on it for compliance decisions.
